Financial Management Service Foundation

All registered NPOs are a distinct legal entity and therefore, an artificial person. NPOs in India are accountable to the laws under which they are enacted and avail subsequent registration. Some of such statuses in India are:

Societies Registration Act, 1860 (along with the state enactment)
The Companies Act, 1956 (for Section 8 company)
Income Tax Act, 1961
Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 2010

Trainings and Workshops

FMSF launched the nationwide outreach initiative in the form of FCRA Clinics for Voluntary Organizations. This was a joint initiative of Financial Management Service Foundation (FMSF), CPA Services Pvt. Ltd, Voluntary Action Network of India (VANI), Credibility Alliance and Centre for Advancement of Philanthropy(CAP). The first phase of this nationwide initiative has been successfully completed and targeted 16 key cities in India in a span of 2 months with an overwhelming response by approx. 1097 participants.

Compliance Review

We help in reviewing the status of legal compliances of NPOs to ensure that the requirements of the law of the land are followed. This is primarily done in the area of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) and Income Tax. Over the years, we have provided our services to various agencies to review their existing governance structure.
